Extended Glockenspiel is the first in a new series of mallet instruments from Majetone.
This instrument alongside the meticulous hard and soft mallet sampling, features being played with a ping pong ball both struck and dropped, a bow, tape processing and digitally stretched.

Recorded with a selection of vintage, modern and un-usual mics through a capi vp26 pre amp, this is a different sort of Glockenspiel library.
The library was recorded using a Musser Glokenspiel with a variety of mallets and techniques with 3x round robins and up to 4 velocity layers

Recorded using classic tube mics, dynamics and ribbon mics into classic Brit & American preamps.
Features a comprehensive effects section – Delay, ‘Rain’ convolution loop, Distortion, Lofi/Bitcrusher, Low and High pass filters, Spring Reverb.

3ips – Recorded to a Fisher Price cassette recorder (using inbuilt mic) then recorded back into the computer moving the recorder around an Extinct Audio Valkyr stereo ribbon mic.
7ips – 3ips re-recorded to cassette for more degradation
Stretched using a digital granular time stretch.
