Why did you create Need for Bass Vol.1 & Vol.2?
The idea that led us to produce these libraries was to provide a solid range of bass sounds suitable for any musical genre that requires powerful lows with personality.
To achieve this, we chose two of the most iconic synthesizers to drive the necessary deepness, the Moog Subsequent 37 and the Yamaha TX802 FM synth. To cover a sonic palette that includes the warmth of analog and the edge of one of the rudest digital synthesizers ever made.
The creation process
We’ve explored and crafted from scratch a neat collection of bass patches, having in mind the classic character but improving them with a modern touch for the actual beat maker needs. The machines were sampled using studio grade ADC converters to bring the most clean audio possible, without any added external processing, just to keep their original sound as raw as possible.
The bottom line
When it comes to FM synths, there are many emulations out there, but nothing compares to the real thing, especially in the low end. And the best way to capture that signature is through high quality sampling. The same applies to the round presence of the Moog Subsequent.
This way, we believe we have achieved our goal: capturing the soul of these two synths through a collection of original patches that will highlight your beloved bass lines.
Authentic Lows, Modern Touch
That wraps up Developer Spotlight 1 with Amazound — a team dedicated to delivering affordable, high-quality sample libraries that truly capture the spirit of legendary synths.
