ZenDAW presents Blue Swells NI Kontakt, a new collection of vintage-retro-modern sample instruments for Kontakt.
Recorded from iconic synths including the PPG Wave 2, along with the Ensoniq Fizmo and the Ensoniq Mirage with sound processes.
This new Kontakt library features a custom GUI programmed by Rawl Gelinas, with matching color schemes for each source synth.
The interface reveals to the end user much of the underlying Kontakt Engine in an easier to use format.
Plus, for each bank, ZenDAW provides a template instrument with already mapped samples to allow the user to create their own custom instruments from the same vintage source samples.

PPG Wave 2 is an incredibly great sounding analog/digital hybrid vintage synth.
It uses digital samples of wavetables and features analog VCA envelope and VCF (filter) sections for a classic and mellow sound.
The 8-bit wavetables through CEM analog filters give it a unique digital yet warm sound.
This is a rare and very sought after synth.
Fizmo is a polyphonic machine with 48 oscillators and generates sounds with up to 4 simultaneous layers.
Transwave synthesis uses wavetables of sound data with layered variations in harmonic structures such that their timbres progress naturally from one end to the other.
This allows for sounds to modulate over time, by velocity, wheel, pressure, or any number of other options.
Mirage with sound processes has additive synthesis capability plus up to 4 independent oscillators which can be stacked together.
For macOS Users – macOS Ventura may require the latest version of Kontakt 7 to work. Some beta testers have reported issues loading Instruments with Kontakt 6 and early versions of Kontakt 7 on macOS Ventura systems.
