Drums of St Paul was recorded in the massive sanctuary hall at historic Saint Paul’s in San Francisco, CA (the same location as our renowned Requiem Light Symphonic Choir). This powerful multi-sampled drum library captures a variety of kick, snare, and tom articulations from three different microphone positions for a crisp and lush natural reverb and open tone you can blend effortlessly to create an epic sound for any genre. The kick comes with high and low bass drum strikes, metal, rim, and side clicks. The snare was sampled with snares on and off, rimshots, and rim clicks, while the tom includes high and low strikes and rim clicks. We prioritized maximum clarity and presence for each instrument with a wide stereo image, up to 13 velocity layers and 16 round robin.
This open-format Kontakt library is perfect for light to “epic” cinematic drum arrangements, concert percussion, Pop or Rock drum tracks, drum replacement or layering. Each articulation provides natural and aggressively dynamic performances you can take even further using our arpeggiator and FX rack. We’ve also included 20 unique sound designed ambiences, atmospheres, and sustaining pads to provide tonal leads and background textures. They can be used with the drums or in any other music application you wish. Each one has been hand-crafted using the raw source recordings to create an ideal sonic companion to this library.
The Kontakt interface includes a suite of automation-ready sound-shaping controls to give you total creative flexibility. You have control over swell, attack, release, offset, vibrato, filter, pitch (coarse & fine), articulation switching, cross-fading and layering, and so much more.
This library comes with an adaptable LFO system, with selectable LFO shape, modulation target parameter, speed, intensity, tempo-syncing and fade-in time. You can also apply your choice of 12 lowpass, high-pass and FX filters, with assignable modulation targets such as velocity, modwheel, expression, after-touch, key position and step-sequencer table control. Our customizable arpeggiator offers a velocity table and control over arp direction, timing, swing, randomization and duration. We’ve included a key and scale lock system to constrain your notes to common scales and keys for easy melodic composition and live performance.
The interface is rounded-out by our modular FX rack panel, with 27 different DSP effect modules that you can assign in any of 8 available slots, in any order that you wish. You’ll find classic phaser, flanger, delay, distortion, amp and cab simulators, compressors, EQ, rotator and so much more.
