‘Pianoforte’ features a Fazioli F212 sampled to utmost realism using multiple microphone positions – including Ambisonics microphones, in order to capture the pure sweetness and rich harmonic body only Fazioli can deliver.
After recording the Piano’s sonic emissions from every corner possible, we decided to push the limits we set with ‘The Upright’, and decided to work independently on the Stereo and Ambisonics versions. This time, while part of our time dedicated their time to prepare independent Microphone Positions and Mixes (for Stereo), the other part of the team focused on creating custom Ambisonics mixes that will help you feel the richness of the Piano from several angles.
This means that whether you decide to work on Stereo or Multichannel Arrays, ‘Pianoforte’ will always surprise you with a unique opportunity to fit the glorious sound of this Fazioli on your mix.

Our novel recording and mixing techniques deliver a sound library natively compatible with multi-speaker arrays. For the Ambisonics version we’ve prepared what we called ‘Mix Perspectives’, which are three-dimensional mixes that will let you feel the Piano from different listening spots.

‘Ambisonics Version’ is delivered both in Stereo (2-channel samples) and RAW Ambix Ambisonics (4-channel samples). As Kontakt doesn’t natively support Ambisonics decoding, a third-party plug-in might be needed if your DAW cannot decode natively. Fortunately there are several ways to achieve this.
