Seraphim

SERAPHIM offers a different approach to sound design, with an instrument for Kontakt (full version) with a strong electro-acoustic essence.

By combining wavetables, complex filtering and resonators in an interface derived from an in-house hardware prototype, the instrument offers a different experience from the usual synthesis.

Please note: FULL retail version of Kontakt 6.7.1 or later is required. NOT for Kontakt Player.

Seraphim - Electro-Acoustic Synthesis for Leads, Basses, Strings and more

An instrument with a more electro-acoustic character than the usual synthesizer, thanks to the use of a network of filters to excite the resonators.

The sound is then injected into a spring reverberation tank.

SERAPHIM’s distinctive synthesis is backed up by radical choices to promote the experience of expressive, nuanced playing.

To make the most of SERAPHIM’s typical sound engine, the instrument can be played lightly, favoring fine, airy tones, or, on the contrary, it can be played more forcefully, allowing for sharp, massive nuances.

The Real Deal

Using 4 oscillators with continuously variable wavetables, SERAPHIM is capable of producing metallic tones as well as surprising woody sounds.

Each oscillator has a PWM function with its own dedicated LFO, a tuning control ranging from -3 to +3 octaves, panning and gain control down to slight saturation.

Either way, SERAPHIM has a strong, recognizable identity, making it the ideal companion for creating basses, leads and drones.

How It's Made

SERAPHIM is made upon on a number of concepts that are uncommon in the world of regular sound synthesis, but which are highly prized by users of modern modular synthesizers.

Based on an in-house monophonic prototype, Seraphim allows duophony and refined controls.

Seraphim features 4 digital oscillators with progressive waveforms.

Each oscillator has a PWM associated with an LFO and is largely detuneable.

5 multipoint filters can be used to highlight frequencies that will excite a resonator with 8 character choices.

A reverb with 3 modes is also available, featuring a classic medium decay srping tank, a wierd quad-springs tank and an unreal particles module.

Seraphim has been designed as an acoustic instrument, with parameters such as attack being controlled directly by the keyboard and reacting to velocity.

Prepare yourself for some very metallic sounds, but don’t worry: the available filters will always give you the option of calming things down!

SERAPHIM is also different in its commercial approach, offering an unusual instrument at a friendly price.

What’s more, when you buy SERAPHIM for Kontakt (full version), you’re making a financial contribution to the development of the hardware version.

It’s a win-win situation.

System Requirements

SERAPHIM is an instrument for Kontakt, the full version is a must, you can use SERAPHIM from Kontakt version 6.7.

In addition to the official recommendations of Native Instruments, we have determined that SERAPHIM feels most comfortable with a 7th generation Intel i5 processor, 8 GB of RAM (16 recommended) and a screen with a minimum resolution of 1920×1080.

Stigmata doesn’t take up much space on your hard drive (or SSD), 400MB is enough for its well-being.

It is very fond of controllers (MIDI keyboards, pads, button controllers and others), we strongly advise you to take advantage of them.
