This remarkable instrument was recorded with three microphone positions (close, main and church room) using top-end microphones such as DPA, Schoeps, Neumann, and custom-made Braingasm, alongside with hand-crafted Argentini preamps.

We sampled one of the finest pipe organs in Italy, a Mascioni opus 618, recorded at the Church of Santa Maria Mediatrice in Rome, using the most advanced sampling techniques.
Mascioni is an Italian company, founded in 1829, renowned for crafting high-quality pipe organs.
One of the most famous organs built by Mascioni is the grand pipe organ in Milan’s Duomo, the largest in Italy and one of the largest in Europe.
This monumental instrument, crafted with great precision, is renowned for its power, complexity, and rich tonal palette, making it a landmark in the world of organ building.
The opus 618 Organ features 55 stops across three manuals and pedal, meticulously sampled to capture the full richness of the instrument.
Grand’Organ was recorded at the Church of Santa Maria Mediatrice in the heart of Rome, near to the Saint Peter’s Church.
We recorded all the 8 crescendo layers available on the Organ, Staccato Samples, Release samples and 14 registers.
The library includes dynamic layers controlled via the expression pedal, real-time air and key action sounds, and all the nuances of the organ’s vast tonal palette.
The instrument was recorded at 96kHz, using only the highest-quality gear, and comes with three microphone positions: CLOSE, MAIN (ortf+ab from the player perspective), and ROOM (church).
Grand’Organ feature 14 selected registers, plus 8 crescendo dynamic of the Grand’Organ main sound.
Combinig the registers, you can achieve up to 455 combinations of sound.
We worked closely with musicians, composers, and recording engineers during the sessions to carefully select the perfect register and capture the best possible sound from the pipes.
