The original Majetone space my neighbours left all sorts of things around the yard outside, I went on a mission sampling in the early, quiet days of the Covid lockdown.
Then taking these back to the studio, tuning, manipulating and re-amping these sounds.
A flexible, unique library with a focus on percussive or sound design elements.
I collated what I had in to ‘drum’ groups, I re-amped the ‘snare’ type sounds through 4 different sized snare drums:
I thought I’d try tuning some of these one shot samples into instruments – there were some real surprises.
I’ve added the instruments and processing I liked the best.
